Meet the 2019 Leaders for Life Fellows


Amy Albandoz

  • Highlands County

Amy is an International Baccalaureate student at Sebring High School and currently ranks 2nd of 324 in her graduating class. She has a weighted GPA of 4.57 and spends much of her time as the Drum Major for the Sebring High School Marching Band. Amy aspires to attend the University of Florida to study Architecture to hopefully impact our planet by working with eco-friendly materials and creating a sustainable environment. She fills her time tutoring Math, volunteering at a daycare, the annual Winterfest as well as participating in several school organizations such as Mu Alpha Theta, Stem Club, Chalk Walk-Art Week, Concert Band and Music Club and National Honor Society. She is very proud of her work with the Feeding Children Everywhere and Sweeten up Parkland that helped raise funds for victims’ families.


Sadie Campbell

  • Citrus County

Sadie attend Crystal River High School where she ranks 9th out of 301 senior students and has a weighted GPA of 4.6. She will graduate from high school with 38 college credits. Sadie has a love for small children and babies and would love to study to Nursing at the University of Florida to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Someday she wants to give back by serving as a missionary working with children. High School keeps her busy as a member of several organization; the Business Academy, Key Club, Young Americans, Anti-Drug Coalition, Young Republicans just to mention a few! Sadie is very active in the community as well with Lions Club, Coastal Clean, Inverness Calvary Church and tutoring at Citrus Elementary School.


Jefflyne Desilme

  • Monroe County

Jefflyne currently holds a 4.25 weighted GPA at Key West High School. She is currently ranked 19th out of 259 in her graduating class. Jefflyne has a desire to attend Florida State University, study Political Science and eventually enter the field of Law, specializing in Immigration. Although Jefflyne works 30 hours a week she also volunteers as a peer mentor, belongs to the Beta Club, Zonta Club, and Habitat for Humanity. She also volunteers with the First Haitian Baptist Church Holiday event and ESOL Parent Night assisting with translating at her school. As a dual enrollment student, Jefflyne also takes AP classes and belongs to a tutoring club called International Living that allowed her to travel to Vietnam recently.


Hannah Faughnan

  • Lake County

Hannah attends Leesburg High School and has a weighted GPA of 4.89. She is ranked currently as 3rd of a class of 391 students. Hannah has been accepted to Princeton University and hopes to attend medical school. She would like to specialize as a Reconstructive Pediatric Plastic Surgeon to correct birth defects in children. Achieving the Tenacity Award at Leesburg High, Hannah also has a Gold Level Leadership Award and received a Superior with Distinction in Music, state level. She letters in Marching Band, Florida Bad Parents Association, is a member of All-District Honor Band as well as participating in the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and volunteers at the Villages Regional Hospital with over 400 hours of community service.


Leonardo Gutierrez

  • Collier County

Leonardo ranks 15th of his class of 150 students, maintains a weighted GPA of 4.9 and attends Lorenzo Walker Technical High School. He hopes to pursue a degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Florida, desiring to study bioplastics in an effort to reduce waste and promote a healthier environment. Leo works part-time at Home Depot and is involved in Student Council as President, the School Advisory Council, the School Ambassador’s Club and Youth Leadership Collier. He also volunteers with Champions for Learning and the Saint Matthew House. He has represented his high school and the state of Florida in the National Congress of Science and Technology Leaders in Boston, Massachusetts and is the Pep Rally Cheerleading Captain. Leonardo finds time to run cross country as well as competing in beach volleyball.


Ryan Rowe

  • Broward County

Ryan currently holds a 4.85 weighted GPA at Sheridan Technical High School and ranks 9th in her class of 120 students. She wants to attend Florida State University to study Political Science and enter Law School. Ryan finds the time to be very active in the Student Government Association, Mu Alpha Theta, Sheridan Technical High School Teen Readers, Media Club, Women of Tomorrow Mentor Program, Small Business Association of America, Ecology Club, Youth Empowerment Club, and Joshua’s Heart Foundation. She also works closely with the Nyah Project Fellowship Education Program and was selected to volunteer at a school in Ghana, Africa educating youth through leadership and cultural immersion.


Marie Sintulaire

  • Palm Beach County

Marie has her sight set on attending Florida State University and study Accounting. She currently attends Glades Central Community High School and is ranked #1 of her 242 graduating class. Her weighted GPA is a 5.2 and she will have an AA degree upon graduation this spring. Staying busy and keeping up grades, Marie is active with Student Government, Health Occupations Students of America, Leadership Grow Palm Beach, teaching Sunday school and playing piano at First Haitian Baptist Church as well as taking the role of principal for the First Haitian Baptist Church Youth & Development Center after-school program. Marie has over 1100 community service volunteer hours. She hopes to achieve her degree and give back to the community of Belle Glade someday.
